Christmas and the New Year can be a difficult time for many, particularly if they’ve recently lost a loved one.
If you feel you will struggle over the coming few weeks, know that you are not alone. We hold support groups across Essex specifically for people like you, going through bereavement and needing additional support. These groups, held in Ingatestone, Chelmsford, Braintree and Writtle, are run by volunteers – former clients of ours – who have gone through bereavement themselves.
The free service, available to anyone who needs it, has won the team multiple awards over the 20 years or so they’ve been running, with one user of the service telling us; “I sincerely couldn’t have gone on without the bereavement group’s support. It took me weeks just to leave the house after my husband died, and thank goodness I found them.”
