We’re pleased to announce that all our funeral operatives, and the vast majority of our Family Liaison Officers, have now received the first part of their COVID-19 vaccinations.
This follows the UK government recognising that those in the funeral industry are frontline healthcare staff for whom occupational immunisation with the COVID-19 vaccine is recommended. The classification of funeral operatives as frontline workers follows petitioning from the industry, and extensive campaigning from the National Association of Funeral Directors.
One of our team said, “Although we always follow government guidelines, having immunisation does provide some added reassurance and peace of mind when we are doing our job”.
The second part of their vaccinations are scheduled in approximately 8 weeks.
