Co-op Funeral Directors has proudly supported the Royal British Legion for decades. Whether that be transporting poppy collections across Essex or previous fundraising events and collections, it is a cause close to our hearts. So the team jumped at the chance of doing a ‘sleep out’ to raise awareness for the charity and earning them additional funds!
During the month of March, the Royal British Legion is holding ‘The Great Tommy Sleep Out‘. They are encouraging people to sleep outside for one night in order to raise funds and awareness for homeless ex-servicemen and women. With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.
Seven of our team will be swapping their beds for a sleeping bag on the 22nd March, camping outside Writtle Church to raise vital funds and awareness for over 6000 veterans that are experiencing homeless in the UK right now.
