Christmas Cheer for Writtle December 9, 2020

Our Writtle branch has installed a beautiful window as part of the village’s annual Christmas Tree Festival.

Family Liaison Officer Cara says the branch has been taking part in the festival for the last five years or so.

The annual event, organised by local All Saints Church, is typically contained within the church itself. This year, to keep everyone safe from the coronavirus, the festival has widened its scope to cover the village and hopes that residents can experience an outdoor festival as they take walks around the neighbourhood.

Reverend Tony Cant said, “There is no pressure for Writtle residents to enter. The important thing is to see the village full of beautiful trees and Christmas cheer” which he believes will be a sign of hope for next year.

We think Cara has done a wonderful job!

So next time you’re in Writtle, enjoy the beautiful displays as you walk around the village – but wrap up warm!
